HOST: DR. LADI OWOLABI
A Medical Doctor from
Nigeria who currently resides in the US has practiced Medicine in Nigeria, Ireland, and the UK. He founded Lifescope Africa Foundation in 1998 in response to the enormity of Ignorance that existed with regards to HIV transmission amongst young people in Nigeria. He believes that Ignorance is the biggest killer of Africans and his main passion is imparting life saving health information to all Africans.

 

 

 

 

 

CO-HOST: MRS. REGINA ASKIA WILLIAMS, RN
 A Registered Nurse by profession, but she is also an actress, model, health program television producer, writer, and a public speaker. She is also a provider of children healthcare services. In 1988, Askia-Williams won her university‘s beauty pageant - Miss Unilag (University of Lagos), and later competed and was finally crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (Miss Nigeria 1989). Askia-Williams represented
Nigeria in Miss Charm held in Leningrad, Russia, and Nigerian delegate at Miss International 1990 in Japan. In 2000, she was named Best Actress in Nigeria by Afro Hollywood London, and has earned several movie award nominations. Regina writes a column titled Saturday Clinic with Regina Askia Williams for THIS DAY Newspapers in Nigeria. She plans to complete a Phd program in Nursing.

 

 

 


PRIVATE SECTOR ANALYST:  MR. FOLUSHO OBE, MBA
Has a combined 20+years of experience of R&D, manufacturing, new product development and project management in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer products and medical devices industry. BA degree in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from Rutgers University, an MBA in Management from Long Island University in NY and a Graduate certificate in Project Management from NYU. He is the founded and president of PHAMED International.

 






ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

African Health Dialogues is a weekly health care discussion on AV radio about awareness, progress and gaps, costs and accessibility of medical /pharmaceutical products and services within the African and African Diaspora communities Worldwide. The program is being facilitated by African Views (AV), Life-Scope Africa Foundation (LAF), and Phameds International with the objective of providing health literacy, advocacy, and inspire consensus and leadership roles in improving public health care status in underserved communities. The discussion accomodates a wide range of organizations and experts' views and advice on diverse scientific and socio-economic aspect of health and welfare issues.
